Why not self-host?

You can. These are all open source. But here's what you're signing up for.

Complexity

Zammad requires PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, and careful version coordination between all three. GLPI needs MariaDB, proper PHP configuration, and a cron job for notifications. Snipe-IT requires Redis and queue workers. We set all of this up and keep it running.

Maintenance

Zammad ships frequent updates and Elasticsearch version requirements change with them. GLPI plugins break on major upgrades. Snipe-IT database migrations need to run in order. One missed step and your ticket queue freezes or asset data is lost.

Reliability

When your helpdesk goes down at 3 AM, no new tickets come in, SLA timers keep running, and agents can't see the queue. When your asset management is offline, IT can't check out equipment. We monitor, back up, and fail over so that doesn't happen.
